Paul McEvoy PresidentPaul is a board member and President of the MAC Angels Foundation. Paul's
mother was afflicted with ALS and both he and his wife, MC, readily accepted the invitation to participate on the original founder's board in the mission to serve families affected by ALS. Paul is Senior Managing Director of DRA Advisors LLC, a real estate investment firm based in New York. He graduated from Georgetown University and also has an MBA from New York University. Paul and his wife have 2 children who live in the New York area. Kelly Corwen TreasurerKelly is a founding board member of the MAC Angels Foundation.
Kelly was introduced to Claire Gormley Collier shortly after her diagnosis and became involved in many of the fundraisers that were held to support Claire with her journey. When MAC Angels was formed, she gladly accepted the role of board member to help support PALS and their families. She currently serves as Treasurer and is a member of the Executive Committee. She has also chaired every MAC Angels Gala and annual appeal since our inception in 2010. Professionally, Kelly is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York. She has a BA from Colby College, an MBA from New York University and a CPA in NY. Kelly is married and has 4 children. All of her family members have volunteered at numerous events in support of MAC Angels. Kristin Burke SecretaryKristin is a Board Member of the MAC Angels Board and currently serves both as Secretary and as a member of the Executive Committee.
She has a passionate commitment to serving charitable endeavors and has actively served in various capacities for several nonprofit organizations over the years. Kristin's commitment to MAC Angels was motivated by her mother's own tragic battle with ALS and the battles of dear friends who have struggled and continue to struggle with this disease. Kristin is an attorney with Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP where she has represented a diverse portfolio of nonprofit and for-profit employers in labor and employment law matters since 1989. Kristin is originally from Massachusetts and has a B.A. from The College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. |
Mary Kate Glennon
Mary Kate is a new board member to the MAC Angels Foundation. She has been involved with many of the fundraisers and sporting events since the original " Friends of Claire". She was a childhood neighbor of Claire's and was able to see how a strong group of friends can make a significant impact in someone's journey with ALS.
Mary Kate has been a public school teacher for over 17 years and currently teaches first grade at Chatsworth Elementary School in Larchmont. She lives in Mamaroneck NY. |
Phil Gormley
Phil is a sibling of Claire Gormley Collier. Phil organizes or is the driving force in multiple events throughout the year raising funds for MAC Angels and ALS research organizations and as well as other charities. He enjoys being an active board member to help PALS and their families live at home with grace and dignity as Claire was able to live at home through the love, support and generosity of SO many. Phil is very involved in the “awareness factor” for ALS, as that was very important for Claire as well. Phil enjoys keeping Claire’s SPIRIT alive, as a FoCer, (Friend of Claire), and along with the synergy with the Blazeman Foundation, “We Don’t GIVE UP!.... So Other’s May Live!”
Professionally, Phil is Vice President of Sales for Peacock Apparel. Phil and his spouse Nuria of 30+ years live in Rye, and have 3 children, Daniel, Kian and Meghan who are active with MAC Angels as well. |
Kate Gutekunst
Kate serves as a MAC Angels board member, raising awareness of ALS and providing support to PALS and their families. Kate is Claire Collier's sister and knows first hand the care giving involved, costs and the emotional impact of the disease.
She is also an original committee member of Friend's of Claire which was started to help and support, including raising funds so that Claire could stay at home with her family with dignity. Kate is an Oncology Nurse Navigator at New York Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital for over 35 years and helps to provide resources for patients and their families to navigate their journey with cancer. Kate and her husband have 4 daughters and live in Westchester. |
Nora Powell
Nora is a MAC Angels Board member. She was one of the original founders of “Friends of Claire”. She continues to be a part of MAC Angels because she wants to keeps Claire’s legacy alive. Nora was a close friend to Claire Collier. She knows firsthand the effects of this disease and what it can do to the families it touches. She brings firsthand experience to MAC Angels as she saw this disease from the first day to the end. Nora is a Financial Advisor at a private money management firm in Greenwich, CT. Nora is married with 2 children living in Stamford CT.
Mary Ann Provenzano
MaryAnn Provenzano became an ALS advocate when her father was diagnosed with the disease in 2006. Joining the MAC Angels Foundation board in 2010 was a way to honor his memory by helping other families living with ALS.
MaryAnn has volunteered for her children's schools and has served on the board of County Harvest. She lives in New Rochelle with her family. |
