About Angela
Angela “Angie” Espinoza joined MAC Angels in April 2023.
Angie's professional experience includes social work serving communities on issues related to HIV, domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma informed care, and related issues.coordinating culturally responsive services to survivors of violence under New York’s Office of Victim Services (OVS) and Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). Angie serves on multiple task forces addressing racism and oppression with Queens, NY-based agencies. She also serves on Queens President Donald Richardson’s Hate Crime Task Force and works with other agencies who are in need of consulting services on various topics such as grant writing, organizational reconstruction, and staff trainings.
Angie served as a supervisor for case managers working with marginalized communities including homeless individuals, persons with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ individuals of color, recently incarcerated, and women experiencing post-partum depression. Angie served as the chair and advisor for the National Panhellenic Conference unit in Reading, PA providing program development, organizational support, and supervision to the three national sororities under the Panhellenic council.
Angie received her bachelor’s in Criminology, Psychology, and Sociology with a concentration in Women’s and Gender Studies from Albright College and her Masters in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
